Terms of Service

Effective 7 September 2026

Please read this first

KinAfar offers AI-assisted, step-by-step technology guidance. It can make mistakes, does not control a device and must not be used to complete payments, enter passwords or verification codes, recover accounts, verify identity, or make medical, legal or financial decisions.

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms form an agreement between you and Can Yang, an Australian sole trader operating the KinAfar service (“KinAfar”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing the service, starting a free guided question or purchasing a membership, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to aurayangofficial@gmail.com.

2. Who may use KinAfar

You must be at least 18 to purchase or manage a membership. You may set up KinAfar for another adult only with their knowledge and permission. You are responsible for keeping private links, trusted-browser access and sign-in codes secure.

3. What the service provides

KinAfar analyses a screenshot or photo and provides one suggested next step in the selected language, sometimes with a visual marker or AI-generated spoken reply. A membership is designed for one parent, grandparent or loved one and currently includes up to 30 guided screenshot analyses per month. Trial and membership features may evolve during the founding beta.

KinAfar provides guidance only. It does not tap buttons, control a device, guarantee that a marker is correct, provide live emergency support or replace help from a qualified professional.

4. Safety rules

Do not upload or ask KinAfar to handle:

  • passwords, passcodes or one-time verification codes;
  • bank, card, payment, transfer or purchase-confirmation screens;
  • identity documents, account-recovery screens or highly sensitive personal records;
  • medical, legal, financial or emergency decisions; or
  • unlawful, harmful, deceptive or abusive content.

If a screen is sensitive, unclear or involves money, identity or account access, stop and ask a trusted person or the relevant provider directly. Always check the visible label and marker before tapping.

5. Subscriptions, prices and renewal

Self-serve membership prices are displayed in US dollars before checkout. The current monthly plan is US$9.90 per month. During the opening launch window, the Founding Annual plan is US$49.90 per year and is intended to renew at US$49.90 per year while that membership remains continuously active. US$79.90 per year is the planned future standard annual price for new customers, not the current Founding Annual charge.

The limited Founding Family Setup offer is a separate one-time service shown in Australian dollars. The first three places are A$99 each and include one 45–60 minute online setup session, help with the family's first two or three relevant technology problems, 30 days of limited setup-related follow-up support and one year of KinAfar membership for one loved one. It is not unlimited, emergency or 24-hour technology support, and the A$99 payment does not automatically renew.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval and price shown at checkout unless cancelled before the next billing date. The payer manages billing through Stripe or Link and can cancel future renewal from the subscription-management link. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the already-paid billing period, and access continues until then.

Taxes, exchange rates or bank charges may apply depending on location and payment method. Stripe or Link may separately present payment terms during checkout.

6. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law

We do not generally provide refunds merely because you change your mind after a paid period has begun. Cancelling stops future renewal and does not automatically refund the current period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law. If the service has a major problem, is not provided with reasonable care and skill, is not fit for a disclosed purpose, or is not supplied within a reasonable time where no time was agreed, you may be entitled to a remedy. Contact customer support with the payment email and a description of the problem.

7. Availability and beta changes

KinAfar is in a founding beta. We aim to keep it available, but the service may be interrupted, changed or temporarily unavailable. Supported screens, apps, languages, voices and response quality may change as the product is tested. We will not materially reduce an already-paid membership without providing a reasonable remedy where required by law.

8. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, bypass usage or access controls, probe or attack its systems, use automated scraping, submit content you have no right to use, interfere with another person's access, or use KinAfar to facilitate fraud, surveillance, harassment or unlawful activity.

9. Your content and permission to process it

You keep any rights you have in screenshots, descriptions and setup messages you submit. You give KinAfar a limited permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any separate consent you provide.

You are responsible for having permission to submit content that contains another person's information.

10. KinAfar's intellectual property

The KinAfar service, branding, interface, original content and software are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service while you comply with them. They do not transfer ownership of KinAfar or third-party technology.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KinAfar is not liable for loss caused by relying on guidance without checking it, using the service for a prohibited sensitive task, sharing a private link or code, or events outside our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This section does not limit liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Suspension and ending access

We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal requirements, address non-payment, or stop a serious breach of these Terms. You may stop using KinAfar at any time and may cancel future subscription renewal through Stripe or Link.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as KinAfar changes. We will publish the updated version and effective date. If a material change adversely affects an active paid membership, we will take reasonable steps to notify the payer before it takes effect.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the applicable laws of the Australian state or territory in which the KinAfar operator is based, without excluding any mandatory rights that apply where you live.

Questions, cancellation issues, refund requests or complaints can be sent to aurayangofficial@gmail.com.
